Michelle Gialanze

Michelle Gialanze, professionally known as Mixa, is a contemporary artist her work reflects her deep commitment to material integrity and sustainability. Her practice engages with the fundamental paradoxes of existence, exploring the interplay between chaos and harmony, despair and hope, creation and dissolution.

She works exclusively with natural materials, pigments from stones, flowers, and other organic sources, often collected and prepared by hand. Each work is a tactile dialogue with nature, embodying its raw beauty while revealing the impermanence and fragility that define human experience. The resulting surfaces are layered, textural, and charged with emotional resonance.

Michelle is an active contemporary artist, exhibiting internationally in Malta, France, Japan, Florence, and India, engaging diverse global audiences.
