Carlos Perucini
I am a painter captivated by the tension of light and shadow, using oil as a medium to uncover the profound and the eternal. Deeply inspired by the dramatic intensity of Rembrandt, the soulful introspection of Tiziano, the luminous depth of Leonardo, and the haunting emotion of Nerdrum. Each stroke is an attempt to echo their mastery while forging a language that speaks to contemporary sensibilities.
The philosophies of Aristotle, Carl Jung, and Joseph Campbell guide my exploration of myth and archetype, allowing me to weave symbols and stories that resonate across time. My paintings aim to evoke a silent, enduring presence—works that invite not just observation but immersion, where the weight of the human experience is felt in every detail.
I strive for a timeless quality in my art, balancing tradition and experimentation to create pieces that transcend the moment. For me, painting is an act of reverence, a way to honor the mysteries of life while capturing its fleeting beauty. My goal is to create works that linger in the mind, stirring emotion and sparking a connection that feels both intimate and universal.
