Pietro Capone

Born in Rome in 1995. He discovered his love for oil painting and enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, graduating summa cum laude. Passionate about history, Pietro Capone explores the execution techniques used by the old masters. A research that one could define as "experimental archeology" in order to revive traditions that were lost during the avant-garde period of the XX century. From 2016 to 2018 he attended the atelier of the painter Giorgio Dante. In 2017 he participated in the workshop Symposium Of Contemporary Figurative Art by Roberto Ferri and Giorgio Dante, and took part in the Antico Presente - L’Accademia Disegna exhibition at the Museo Gregoriano Profano. He also exhibited at the collective exhibition mutAzioni at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. In December of the same year, he donated to the Vatican three of his still life drawings made in the exhibition halls of the Vatican Museums. In March 2018, he exhibited at the Night collective exhibition, on the occasion of the Tiny Biennale, at the Gallery of Art Temple University in Rome. From 2019 to 2022 he was a collaborator of the painter Roberto Ferri and assistant for five workshops. In 2020 he participated in the collective exhibition L'Eco - Roberto Ferri and his students at the Crazy March Gallery. In December 2023 Capone held his first solo exhibition at the monumental complex of San Salvatore in Lauro in Rome.
