Jackie Carter

Jackie Carter is a textile-based artist living and working in Ireland. She graduated with a BA (Hons) from The National College of Art and Design, Dublin in 1998. She completed her MA (Hons) in Limerick School of Art and Design in 2014. She is Head of Art at a Further Education College and has held that position for twenty-four years. She has participated in Art Education Reform and Development at all levels. She holds a qualification in Renaissance Art History from Oxford University, Department of Continued Education. Jackie has exhibited widely in Ireland and internationally. Recent exhibitions include Seanchas;Lore which toured from Ireland (Damer House Gallery) to Florence (Studio of Enrico Ferrarini). She organizes and is tour leader for an annual educational trip to Florence for art students. Areas explored in past work include, lost histories of women, psychogeography and memory.
