Samuel Hoskins

I am Samuel Hoskins, an American oil painter based in Florence, Italy. My work bridges traditional craftsmanship with personal and spiritual exploration, drawing on my training at the Florence Academy of Art and a deep commitment to classical techniques.

I see my paintings as pathways between dreams and material reality, striving to reveal archetypal truths that transcend words. Influenced by Carl Jung and Terence McKenna, I aim to channel images and ideas that inspire reflection on life’s deeper mysteries.

Beyond painting, I share my passion for art through a YouTube channel where I demonstrate traditional methods, like crafting lead white paint. My connection to historical practices adds a sense of alchemy to my work, honoring the lineage of classical painters.

My art has been featured in exhibitions across the U.S., including the Salmagundi Club in New York and the Jack Meier Gallery in Houston. Through my work, I aim to balance technical mastery and spiritual inquiry, inviting others to explore their own inner worlds.
